Askr Grange - Accessible Holiday Cottage Design for a Dorset Farm

We were recently appointed by a working farm near Bridport to provide interior layouts and concept design for two new-build holiday cottages. The client, who already runs successful shepherd hut accommodation, wanted to expand their rural tourism offering with stylish and accessible holiday homes.

We designed 2D floor plans and 3D visuals to illustrate the internal layout, including room positioning, furniture planning, and the placement of sockets, lighting, and plumbing. One of the two cottages was designed for wheelchair accessibility, with pocket doors and wide circulation space throughout.

As part of this end-to-end rural interior design service, we will return to specify kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, wall finishes, furniture, lighting, and soft furnishings. Each cottage will be fully equipped with kitchenware, towels, and bedlinen, ready to host 4–6 guests. With views over West Bay and inspiration drawn from the Dorset coast and countryside, these holiday lets will offer stylish, comfortable stays and generate valuable income for the farm.
